Services & Products

SAS offers a number of core services and products ranging from CFD modeling through to component design, engineering of modified or new components and installation. Areas of expertise include the following:

Combustion Equipment

As result of SAS’s partnership with RJM International,   SAS is able to offer a broad range of emissions reduction technologies and new equipment, ranging from single injector nozzles right up to the full replacement of a power plant's entire burner set, using  a 'custom-engineered' Ultra-Low NOx Burner solution, based on RJM’s own-design Ultra-Low NOx burner technology. More...

CFD analysis

SAS has a strong track record of providing the most sophisticated Computational Fluid Dynamic analysis (CFD) and typically uses it as the first stage of a total solution for resolving complex process and mechanical problems.

Several of SAS' programers have over 20 years' experience of  working with the most sophisticated CFD packages and SAS has now developed its own CFD software to offer additional layers of data granularity to client projects and deliver enhanced outcomes. More...

Computational engineering

SAS specialises in taking the enhanced CFD findings that may well include transient, multi-phase or reacting flow analysis and then using that data as a starting point for informing the engineering requirement around re-designing existing components or engineering new components.

This engineering offer ensures that SAS can combine the 'virtual world' theoretical analysis through CFD with the 'physical' engineering capability to deliver a power or process solution that works in the real world at the client site. More...

Equipment prototyping

SAS also provides product development and certification engineering services. 12 patents relating to power and process innovations have been registered by SAS and the company has successfully designed, tested and brought to market numerous new products. These have ranged from innovative gas appliance vents to multi-million dollar process test facilities. More...

Equipment development &  installation

SAS personnel have worked extensively  in refineries, petro-chemical plants and large utility plants, delivering sophisticated process solutions. Its engineers fully understand the need to maintain operational integrity and what is required to get a plant back online as quickly as possible, following an unscheduled outage. More...

Process hazards analysis

Best practices and overlapping safety regulations, such as OSHA and EPA, require a review of processes containing hazardous materials or conditions prior to start-up.  More...

Process controls and burner systems

Every SAS engineer has over twenty years' of process engineering or combustation expertise and having built up its client roster over the past eight years, SAS is able to offer a comprehensive range of services and solutions to the power, process and petrochemical sectors. More...

Other services

SAS' unique offer, combining analytical skills with practical  engineering excellence has meant that other organisations, including insurance companies and federal authorities, sometimes commission SAS to carry out specialist assignments, often in relation to safety, fire and risk assessments. More...
